correct way to tune knock sensors?

is there a proper way to tune the sensibility of the knock sensors without desensitize them completely? what to log to perform such tuning? 98 f-car is giving me headaches with knocks under small amount of boost having the correct afr, disabled burst knock. problems started after the installation of 60lbs siemens inj, tubular k member with poly mounts and a hell-of-a-drone loudmouth exhaust.

    any help is really appreciated

make multiple runs with stock settings to identify trouble areas and record it.

Add higher octane fuel, like a few gallons of unleaded, MS109 to a half tank of gas and make the same runs. If the issue remains, in the same places, desensitize accordingly.
Also, to help identify the actual point of trouble, run the decay up really high so that if the knock item hits only once in a small spot, it doesn't get masked by the remaining decay. If you run the decay way up and you see multiple bumps in one area, it is further evidence of actual knock because knock has a kind of "ringing" effect where once it starts, it will sustain itself for some time. That's why the decay is in there to begin with. If you have a little knock where 1? off your timing map will prevent it, you may need 4? removed and sustained, to stop it after it's begun.
