05 GTO e40 pcm swap question.

The brick condition is a no longer responsive 05 pcm. no matter what in car or on my bench harness no response.
from my understanding you cannot flash an 05 to 06 e40 gto or vice versa. at least thats what i was told by HPTUNERS when this occurred.

Oh ok. I was thinking it was inoperability from a VIN# mismatch from the other components expecting your factory VIN#. Too bad you can't just reflash over it like Lakegoat suggested.

im trying to find someone to recover it. there are places but i found one that was $200. not worth it for that price. but i would gladly pay about $100.
if anyone knows who or where can recover a bricked e40 let me know. tks...
