2013 Boss With a I1 Procharger Timing Questions.

Does anyone know what Borderline Knock Tables have the most affect on the real timing in the tune? Not looking to put 1000 pulls on this car to figure out what one does what? I looked through a few posts but didn't see much about it. Making great power and the AF it now perfect but getting 3 deg on KR.

    Thanks

Eric is working on getting mapped points working in the scanner for all strategies, I'm assuming you don't have them yet, the Boss 302's are more rare so I can see why. Here is a thread about it. Unfortunately I don't have any solid info on what mapped points control spark at WOT besides the OP Borderline table.

The Bordeline OP table should be your primary WOT timing table. I think the trucks are the only ones that don't use this by default. There is a table in the software that shows the setpoint for the OP table to be used, but I'm not exactly sure where it is.

EDIT: They're under the "Variable Camshaft" tab.

You can turn all MPs off but 1 and see which borderline table(s) is causing knock, if the MPs are not active in your strategy.
Here is where to turn them on/off.

Engine>Airflow>Variable Camshaft>Mapped Points Configuration. 1 is active, 0 is not.

Also, the MPs are kinda sorta related to RPM, so if your knock is at 1500 RPM, start with MP 0. If it's happening at 6k, then start at the last MP. If it's during WOT, then it's most likely happening in the OP table.

    Good luck!

I don't believe there is an RPM ordering to the mapped points. There are various modes in the set that aren't RPM related such as development modes, FMEM modes, best driveability, etc.

Yeah, hence the vague kinda sorta qualifier. LOL! I've noticed that while idling and logging MPs you can see it using MP 0 and if you rev it, it moves through the MPs with the RPMs.
I know there is much more to it than RPMs and I don't understand any of it. Just though it may save the OP a little time if his scanner didn't log MPs.

The mapped points pretty clearly correlate to throttle position. you can pump the throttle, roll in and out of it and watch the weights move up and down.

I am working on a 2016 GT and have not been able to get it to use OP....I have enabled everything I can see but it never goes there.

There is one drop menu on the left side of the VCT tab that has to do with Ignoring OP Enrichment but the description doesn't make sense to me, it comes Disabled but not sure if Enabling it will allow OP.

Have you lowered the Pedal Position WOT start?

Pedal WOT start is 83 and End is 90 because I want to use the Driver Demand table until I am full on WOT.

OP is like 80 and load criteria is zero'd out.

PE is set to 80 also and .83 across the table.

    Never gets into OP.
