6r80 shift schedule and shift times

Ok I have a 13 gt twin turbo I really need to do some adjustments on the shifting first pass I made had all the shift points set at 6500 it hit the shift limiter in 1st so I moved the limiter to 7200 and trans was really lazy feeling and line pressure max was set at 150 so I changed that to 200 and it made it alot firmer but my question is is there a way to make it shift faster seem like it shifts slower then when I shifted it my self with the mt82 can I go into can I go I to initial slippage or over all slippage and make it shift quicker how much line pressure is safe car made 710hp and 709tq thanks in advance

Although i'm not making near the HP you are, in my opinion you need to take the max line pressure up more, and adjust all the up shift pressure tables to match your max line pressure. I have my max pressure set to 250psi, up from 150 psi which was stock. At 150 it would have a little sluggish of a shift, 200 produced a good shift and the 250 i'm at now hits real good. Make sure to go through and set the upper rows of your shift table pressure to match. That would be the 1A>2M, 2M>3M, 3M>4M for your full auto range.

Here is a thread I started on the subject. Eric had said in there that some stock calibrations had up to 265 psi in the max pressure box. I would just creep it up until the shift felt good. More HP = More pressure needed to clamp the clutch on that shift. Sounds like you're too low, and slipping the clutch on the shift creating the lag/slow shift.

Here's a link to the thread I started:

Let me know how it works out. Also, make sure to log Torque Source in your scanner. If on the shift you see it display RPM limit during the shift, you'll need to address that. It should say trans shift or truncation if you have TM enabled, during the shift.

http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...ift-map-tuning the spreadsheet in this thread helps you calculate the shift rpms just copy your values, adjust to what you want, copy and paste back. along with this seeing what they did in a cobrajet trans really helped me get my transmission shifting how I wanted. Just search the tune repository for one and compare maps.

What i found that setting higher pressure makes tranny firm shift firmer, but lot slower when tq management is disabled.

Keep in mind that the shift set points are NOT the desired for the transmission to shift at.

They are values that once exceeded, the shift will BEGIN.

So with a higher horsepower car, a 6500 WOT Shift RPM may not actually shift until 7000+ RPM.

That is most likely why you hit the rev limiter and needed to raise it. There wasn't enough time for the transmission to shift before it hit the rev limit.

I am having the same problem with my car after the third revision from a popular ford SCT tuner. I am thinking about switching to HP and self tuning but I am scared I will hurt the car. My car is a 2015 GT 6r80 and a paxton. It shifts fine with paddles but hits limiter in 1 and 2 when in drive under WOT.

With supercharger you can hurt tranny easier than NA, but we can help you here.
