Trying to log PLX Wideband through AC, little bit stuck

    Hi Guys,

I have been trying to log my PLX wideband through my AC unit on me 1998 Commodore.
    I have followed this guide

    http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...hp-tuners.html

I am using this wideband setup

    http://www.plxdevices.com/Wideband-O...7346002719.htm

I believe i may have something wired incorrectly. (i am pretty sure my PIDs are correct)
I have run the grey supplied wire from the Plug on the PLX wideband into the 5v AC pressure switch wire (violet / white on the commodore) (pin location WB on this pic)
    http://s392.photobucket.com/user/jay...01DM5.jpg.html

While scanning and watching the PID, the PID's i have added (the PLX Wideband sits at 10.0 and doesnt change wether the wideband is connected or the AC is connected, and the AC pressure Sensor i have added to the table read 0.0v at all times, regardless of the AC being connected or the wideband

Any help / advice would be great ? have i connected this all up wrong ?

    Cheers

    Dan

Provide screen shots of your Table Display and Chart Display. AC Pressure (V) PID must be inserted into the Table Display.....

The fact you don't see the AC pressure voltage is strange, I would concentrate on that first.

PID setup does look correct as you said. Again, the AC Pressure switch should should log a voltage stand alone regardless and I would try and get back to the original wiring setup and make sure that the AC Pressure PID operates correctly. Maybe post a copy of the tune may help.

Assume the wiring has been checked and verified. Not that familiar with Holden Commodore, sorry. Did you add a switch or connectors to alternate between AC Pressure and Wideband?

Sorry wish I could help more...:-(

    All good mate
Can post a tune file a bit later form my laptop.
I have for now just added in connectors so i can swap between AC and Wideband
First pic is of the wideband connected, 3rd pic is of the AC pressure switch connected, i have verified voltage at the ac pressure switch (i have cut into the wiring loom near the pcm)
I am definately a little stumped, maybe i havent set something up in the scanner correctly to scan the AC pressure

    Thanks again.

This maybe an oversight by me, but will the AC pressure switch read nothing like it is if i have no AC gas ?

Well its now hooked up and working through the EGR, seeing as the commodores never had EGR this is probably the path i should have taken first !

Now to learn a little about VE tuning

Thanks again Ed M, (following you on facebook to ty

Glad you got it worked out. I tried to find some wiring diagrams on the 98 Holden Commodore but didn't find much in my search. Will add a note to my virtual notebook though on your findings...thank you for that and the props :-)
