cannot enable fuel trim

newbie here.
working on a '99 4.8l
I must have disabled my fuel trims inadvertently I cannot seem to enable my stft or ltft.
they are enabled in the editor and the calibration works but my fuel trims will not read and show up as disabled on my solus.
any ideas

Check any O2 sensor DTC enables (disables) which may
have been modified. Are there codes which don't produce
a SES light, but are inhibiting closed loop?

Check your ECT readings for reasonableness, and your
closed loop enable temperature. A messed up ECT can
cause you to never hit closed loop.

found the problem. missed a o2 ground when I remade the harness for my swap.
