May need a new ecm
I have a 98 ecm on my 414 in my firebird (6.0 iron block l92 top end) and after chasing what I thought was a wiring problem with bank 2 sensor 1 o2 I have ruled out everything but the ecm itself. Lucky for me my father in law has a spare ecm and from what I can find on the part numbers he gave me ( ECM # 16220610 service number 09354896) its 99+ ecm. Other than the obvious having to repin the harness for it to work, what other issues might I run into? Also is there any way of identifying what vehicle the ECM came out of before I go through repining the harness?
Last thing im new to HP tuners but if I remember correctly gm trucks used DBW throttle bodies as this may have come out of a truck will there be any issues with changing the DBW ecm to use a cabled throttle body?
Edit is there a tuning parameter that can effect the o2's like making one flatline its signal into the ECM.
Thanks
