Would i be able to change gear ratio with HPT in my 2013 Wrangler A5 ?

I see there is nothing in the transmission side to adjust, and also I don't see a place to adjust gear ratios. i'm changing tires today (going bigger), and i'd like to be able to correct the speedo, currently using 2.25.2257, is this something that will be added in the future ?

Nope. Still have to use the other guys for that. HP just works with the PCM and the speedo info is stored in other modules, ABS and TIPM, notably.

Gear ratio also? We installed different axle and getting tranny ratios error.

Speedo is calculated through the same input, gear ratio. So no, not yet.

But tranny is shifting per output shaft revolution, so i'm curious if that could help to rescale tranny. It goes in limp mode 50mph max and says incorrect ratio for gear 1,2,3...

I think it should work, I had been doing a spreadsheet for this exact thing but then was concerned the other effects this would have on any speed based or rpm based limits back on the engine side. I would worry your torque values are going to be very very off and have some bad effects to any torque based TCM, just have to think it through.

Ok. I had another issue, on wet when i overspin wheels, tranny gets into limp mode, i think to fast shaft rpm. have you experienced this?
I've seen some limits there, but had not chance yet to try as first time tranny mods were not available.

expand more on what its doing? Does it lock you into 2nd gear or limit power for extended time? I assume you are not referring to traction control. If youre spinning REALLY hard to the rev limiter you are probably hitting the TCM Limit Offset rpm, at which point itll go into protection (aka limp) mode. You can raise this limit up a little bit but you shouldn't be able to hit this limit unless TCM RPM limit is set too high.

Yes, this i think is TCM Limit Offsett rpm. it's when Traction control is not able to react so fast (car is supercharged) and spins faster than traction control can hold it.
    I'll try that. Thanks.

Gear/tire adjustment is in testing now. Should be available soon. What kind of vehicle are you working on?

Get latest 2.25 and connect to your car with the scanner, then click the green "power" icon in the scanner and then click the gear/tire button. See if tells you the current gear for your car.

I tested it today on Jeep, it works

I also tested other things comparing to Diablo. So shift points, traction control, skip shift, gear ratio, firm shifting.
As it was really working on the car, it made no changes to tune i was reading. So looks all this stuff is in different place, not in pcm, not in tcm.

^^ this is interesting, but not necessarily a knock on HP Tuners but instead on Diablo for back-dooring their changes, similar to the tranzformer type device, though not sure how it can be done without a device hard wired in.

Did you compare the engine side of the tune with some of the changes made by the Diablo? Might be in the torque management side that is present there.

OK, it works, so i mean it can program, it may have something to do when gears are changed, hard to say for now (not enough time for test),
but defnitelly it's not changing speedo output. Jeep srt8 2008.
