    Sierra doesn't fail into SD

    I have Sierra 2004 desont fail into SD, I try to disable MAF but still working and the car doesnt work if I unplug the MAF, I have used same way in many cars before but no luck

    I have tuned it before with maf only but now it has force induction so I want SD tuning

    Set DTC P0101-103 to fail on first error. Check SES as well. Mil light will lite showing you have reverted to SD. I leave it on as feedback. If when you are done you If you want to shut off then uncheck SES. Copy your Hi Octane timing table to the Lo octane table as the PCM will use tyhe Lo when MAF has failed. Copy the final Lo octane table to the Hi Octane table when complete and reduce the lo by 50%.

    Also P0106 change to no report, did you have a problem with this code?

    Also you are tuning in closed loop with LTFT's disabled, that is correct? Do you have a wideband for Wide open throttle tuning?

    should i change p0101 -3 fail on first error ?
    im turing the crousing by STFT and wot by Wideband
    im using due the boost 2.5 map sensor and i have adjust the offset and the liner

    i have problem with p0106 so i disable it

    but why i i have reduce the lo octan table by 50%

    Assume you are going back to MAF tune...so you would want the lo octane table to go back to your protection table. This is where the PCM begins to bias the spark when knock is experienced. You want it lower than the hi octane to do its job.

    I will stay on SD and I will not use MAF so shoud I reduce the low spark table?

    I am sorry, I didnt check out your current tune before answering. You have the 2 Bar OS so it supports both Hi and Lo octane tables. So you will just tune the Hi like you would normally and set the lo octane table lower to allow the biasing I spoke of.

    No...set P0101-103 DTC's to fail first error and MAF Hi Fail to 1 (or 0). The 2 Bar OS gives you back the HI and Lo octane timing tables so you use them accordingly.

    If you have a wide band, why not tune non-pe are'a with it as well?
