C0279 showed up strangely on truck after flash

Strange; after flashing my truck which I have flashed countless times, it showed up as unknown vin on the scanner, then as a 2006 savanna. (it is a 2003 avalanche) Now it sees what it really is, but the traction control light is on and the tech2 shows a C0279 (powertrain configuration not valid) Reflashed and it is still there, did a complete rewrite and still there. Any ideas?

let me clarify...Over the last 7 years I have successfully flashed this truck.....today is the first time of the issue where it temporarily lost its identity
