Trying to help a friend here with a LS3/auto solstice swap. E67 ECM Gen4 V8 with a T43 TCM, GMA6.
When it comes to basic shifting, this combination doesn't do it right now. They are working on getting the pin out correct to the ECM. It can be put in gear and it starts (with some fuse rigging) and basically hangs in 1st all day.
What does the TCM need in order to shift? I come from the m6 side of life and never thought of this till now. I can read the tune in the beta HP tuners and make tweaks to both transmission and engine parameters. (2.24 is not working here). I can do a simple scan (beta) but no significant logging.
The owner slapped this combination together and basically left it to my buddy with a "make it work" request. Both engine and transmission were crate parts, so I need to be brought up to speed on ECM/TCM combinations. So far search hasn't worked well here.
