    unable to read refurbished pcm.

okay, I just bought a 2005 corvette stuck in limp mode that i trouble-shooted needing pcm.
I was able to extract a read from that pcm. I was not ablt to find a used pcm, so I ordered one from gm.
only available as refurbished. I wasn't sure my read tune was corrupt so I paid gm to install pcm
and load it with any updates.at pick up they said they had a hard time programming. (without any details).
two weeks later I try and read the tune to modify it, and I get the security lockout from to many read attempts.
briefly before that I saw a flash of invalid key or something to that effect.
I don't know if this means its tunerlocked, or if theres a different problem.
im not sure I want to try and full write my car unless that's exactly what one is suppose to do....
I have never seen this message before/ but I see its common when I search.
bottom line is I don't have to tune it, but I would like to...its a stock wifemobile so no parts are on it.
    I am using 2.24.188
whats the best advice moving forward?????????????????
what additional info does HPT need to be able to help ,e?

sounds like the pcm is either tunerlocked or corrupt.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

you cannot write a tunerlocked E40 pcm and if the pcm is corrupt you typically cannot read or write it.

You said the dealer told you they had a hard time programming it...they probably are the reason it's corrupt.
