Question on sessions screen - segment type race - autox

Sometimes a session says (No Laps) with a time of day stamp and *

    other times I get:

    Staging 0:00:9991
    Segment 1:39:618
    End 0:15:000

Either way the video and data of the lap/run seems ok/intact/correct

So why does the session info appear different?

BTW each line has a check box ahead of the words.

    Thanks!

If it says "no laps", then it was able to start recording, but it did not detect your start line trigger used for timing of the run. That can happen when you had specific start line coordinates set, and they were either a bit off or the GPS had poor reception at the time.

The checkboxes are to select laps to use for the video functionality... On Android it's checkboxes, on iOS the user taps to highlight the rows. When you go into the video player, it will then start playing at the first selected lap.

Thanks, for autox, as you probably know, setting the start & finish points is very precise & the car drives right over the point without even a foot of deviation. My external gps is considered one of the best, SkyPro xgps160.

Is there any setting or other suggestion to minimize this occurrence?

In general, you'd want the XGPS (or any GPS) to be mounted in a location where it is secure and has a clear line-of-sight to the sky. I've found that simply placing it in a cup holder or similar may yield inconsistent results, even though the app's GPS icon may be shown green.

The other things to check would be the accuracy of the start line coordinates you had set, and it's a little concerning that your Staging time is only 0.9 seconds... That indicates a very short time between when your recording started (happens when you come to a stop, or press "Record Now") and when it thinks you moved across the start line. You might try manually starting recording ("Record Now" button) a little earlier, or even try using the auto-start mode instead (delete the start line coordinates).
