DBW to DBC trans question and MAF

Drive by wire harness and PCM with the IAC stepper motor chip, 06 express 6.0 4l80e

Can I keep my stock engine and trans file and just convert that file to cable drive? If so how much is required to do that? I know that the trans and all is tied into the throttle body.

Or would it be easier to find a DBC 6.0\4l80 file and flash it all over and rework the harness accordinaly?
Will my 06 express MAF work with the 99-02 tune or will I have to repin and use 99-02 MAF?

I am catching bits and pieces I just want to know a definite answer. I would prefer to tune out the DBW and use my factory engine and trans file, but I don't know what is required to do that.
