    DFCO vs Fuel pressure question.

2007 Corvette, E38, return fuel system...

I notice that my car holds 58ish lbs fuel pressure almost all the time but something I don't understand. Is it normal that when I release the throttle while cruising, and the car goes into DFCO mode, the fuel pressure jumps up.

    Thanks.....

Short answer, yes. When DFCO kicks in the engine isn't consuming any more fuel. The fuel pump controller isn't quite fast enough to turn off the pump before there's a small spike in pressure. As long as the pressure quickly drops back to normal after DFCO kicks out all is good.
