is there a way to show knock as check engine light?

I had a eagle talon before this and under the ecmlink(similar to hptuner)

You can set the check engine light to come on past a specific number of knock.
then turns off after.

tune should have no knock ofcourse but sometimes it would randomly come on due to weather conditions.
ive seen it on my talon a few times that it wasnt repeatable. just random knock. i logged as high as 3-4* of this random knock at some point.

just a fail safe to let me know to get off throttle instead of just going WOT not knowing that a knock is happening.

Isn't ECMlink a form of E-Prom tuning? HPT would most likely have to create a custom OS to be written over the original for this to work. Custom OS options are available for certain vehicles, (mostly newer V8's) so it may be possible to integrate that feature into the latest custom OS's.
