    Is VCM tuning invisible?

If a car is tuned with VCM and then returned back to stock again using VCM editor for visits back to the dealership. Is there any way that the dealer or manufacturer can tell the car's ecu was ever tuned?

Not from a CVN standpoint, but certain newer models have a flash counter that they can reference to determine activity.

What exactly can be gathered from the flash counter? Is there anyway of telling dates and times or just that its had a different file loaded in?

they match how many times the dealer network has been accessed under your vin number and verify the ecu flash counter to the recorded amount of times it has been flashed. you can flash it 50 times tuning it very quickly to settle in the little nuances. if your worried about warranty dont tune it, the dealers are very strict.
