Could some confirm or deny my scenarios, or provide a better answer?

Hello all, new guy here having similar issues. Seems if I set po420 & po430 to 3-no error the catalyst monitor goes to complete and does not reset. This is a problem because the emissions inspectors check that they reset. Also, the codes are still in there as permanent. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help with this. I am stuck because I can?t get plates without emissions passing. I need to drive to get emissions to pass. I can get temp, but it?s limited so I need to get this right first. Thanks

Sounds like possibly setting codes to no mil reported and drive cycles fixed the issues for some of the guys in the post. Sounds like it took quite a bit of time and cycles for some.

I had the same codes on mine. To fix it I bought the anti foulers and put them on the rear 02 sensors until the code clears. After the code clears I changed the dtc to no error reported

So you want P0420/30 to pass right?
Does it have the cat's on it, and downstream O2's? That's how you will get the permanent codes to clear. Otherwise they never will.
