I have only been playing lightly with the beta scanner since most of it is still in progress (need to use beta editor to get a successful file write to my P11 since the firmware update). I found the status bits of 2.24 pretty useful, is this a dead feature or is this being incorporated in another way that I haven't gotten to yet? 2310 installed.

status bits and the bitbucket display from 2.24 are now combined into the main channel configuration window.
All your existing status bits should still work and be there.

Todays beta allows you to save/restore individual gauges/graphs (not charts yet...), as well as the display properties for the channels/gauges/graphs/plot
This will make it much easier to share specific gauges or display properties with other users.

**Update**
I've had some good some bad luck using VCM Editor beta v2.25.2310 . The Virtual VE (VVE) tables work good so far! Success editing the table and click "Calculate Coefficients" works good. I have an E38 ECU in 2009 Pontiac G8 GT.
A problem with VCM Editor v.....2310 are the transmission tables options. I can open the trans tables, but "Open Compare" file causes the whole VCM crash. In other words, opening two tune files to compare highlighted differences in settings.
VCM Scanner beta v..2310 <is not> working right. I can't edit which sensors or PIDs to scan log. I do not get log data collected for any of the sensors or PIDs that are shown.

// Camaro trans pan wide filter // L76 6.0L (DOD-AFM delete) // 6L80E // Pedders GSR struts springs // BMR subframe bushings
***Updated resolved, see post #334-335***
Another issue with the VCM Scanner......I uninstalled the beta v2.25.2310.....then re-installed the stable release v2.24.
Problem is now the VCM scanner cannot read the HP Tuners "box". It alerts "cannot find VCM cable". So now I can't use the older v2.24 with my cable??
I noticed on installing the beta v.2.25.2310.....that if upgrades the "firmware" on the cable box. Does this make the cable non-compatible with v2.24?

I run 2.24 and 2.25.xxxx side by side. Since updating the firmware, I have had some difficulty flashing to an ECU on 2.24 but have had no issues using the 2.25.xxxx to flash the file. What I have been doing with great success is using the 2.24 scanner to log then do the editing and flashing though 2.25.xxxx. You might want to try reinstalling your drivers for the MPVI interface.

Did you re-install the LATEST version of 2.24? It can't be an old one. Download the latest one if you haven't already.
2.25 includes a firmware update that is not backwards compatible with older versions of 2.24. The latest 2.24 version is, however, compatible.

I did what you suggested and the MPVI cable works again with VCM release v2.24 . I noticed the beta v2.25 updated the cable firmware. I pulled down the latest update to v2.24.1165 and v2.25 (beta). You're right, I previously had an older version. Thanks sparkey, schpenxel & tech support.

Good deal.
If you have a pro interface your stand alone logging is now broken, by the way.

anyone else getting this error in the latest beta? can't seem to do anything without the editor freezing up and showing this message.
error.jpg
That is a pretty generalized .net framework error I believe. Kinda like a cars SES or CEL, tells you there is a problem and that you should look into it. Make sure your windows is up to date and if that doesn't take care of it a reinstall is where I would go next.

All the previous versions work just fine. Its a W8 laptop everything is up to date. I remove and install previous beta and all is fine
Post your hpt file that is causing the issue.. and EXACT click by click steps on how to reproduce the issue.
Also... editor issues shouldn't be in the VCM Scanner section/thread.
