Are you receiving an error message of some sort when attempting to use the editing or scanning software?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Thanks Bill, I was able to get the usb port to pick it up. Now when I launch VCM suite 2.23 beta nothing happens. From the start menu both the editor and the scanner show up but nothing happens when I launch them?.
I did a reinstall, remove and reinstall all the basics.
this is a fresh install on this laptop.
Update your software, 2.23 is from 2007...

Thanks, I did download and run the 2.24 version and it ran. Will my application key from 2.3 open the save features and connect to my cable ? or do I need to repurchase?
My application key did fly with the 2.4 install! I am able to scan with no issues. Using the editor to "read entire" I get an error "Unable to open the interface". During the attempt to read I get a message "interface not connected"? Thanks for getting me through this.... Peter
Got it. I had a bad USB cable all along. I guess you cant slam the door on them!
