    6r80 WOT not downshifting

What can cause this problem, maybe wrong name, this tranny has it from stock.
Sometimes when kick down it will not downshift, will hold hear even from 2k rpms to redline, i must take off pedal for a moment and again kickdown to downshift.
Can find setting to get rid of that.

I have this same problem on my 15. Sometimes is downshifts and goes, and other times you have to hold the pedal to the floor for a while, then it will finally downshift and go. I haven't tried tuning that part of it yet, as I have been working on shift speed and firmness along with getting the engine side right for the larger shot of nitrous. I will be digging into this issue soon though.

the ford trucks do the same thing. I always had this same problem with my 6spd Denali. It only seems to happen when you are trying to get around some slow truck or in a race.. works flawlessly when you are ALL alone on the highway.

And you have the value in the Maximum RPM After Downshift box set to your desired RPM?

Also, make sure your downshift speed tables OR OSS RPM tables are set to the correct values that you would see speed or RPM wise after the downshift, under Transmission>Auto Shift Speed>6-5,5-4,4-3,3-2,2-1.

Ok. but it may be nothing from above,,because this can happen when driving 2000 rpm, floor pedal and its accelerating from gear it was.

It almost HAS to be in the downshift RPM/MPH tables. Also, make sure you have the N/V calculated properly as well as the tire size/rev per mile if the gear or tire size are not stock.

These are the techniques I've utilized in my setup. I'm using a stock F150 ECU/6R80 in my swap, and all downshifts seem good to me. This video demonstrates cruising at highway speed, then commanding a downshift. That would be a 6th to 2nd downshift:

Got it. So you're saying it seems to have no predictability to it, interesting! I'll have to compile some more seat time in mine under downshift conditions to see if I can experience the same and try to diagnose the condition. I can't say I've run across it yet, but I also can't say I've been paying that close of attention either. Perhaps you could try and capture it on video or with a datalog running showing OSS/MPH/Commanded Gear/Throttle Input and TQ source, and I will do the same next chance I get.

What i think is kind of learning, maybe if throttle pedal is not hit fast, then it thinks you dont want downshift.

That could very well be the case. I have RPM anticipated shifts disabled on my setup, which could be why i'm not experiencing this issue. But, that is merely a guess.

Now that's what I want my car to do. My biggest complaint with the 5.0 coyote/6r80 auto is the downshift at cruising speed it is always hit or miss I have a sct tuner with tunes from the top named tuners out there none can give me what I want that's why Santa will be bringing me a HP Tuner. Please keep the updates and tips coming

Thank you for the video. To aid in diagnosing the condition, can you post a copy of the tune being used on that car?

The only reason I bought HP Tuners and started doing all my own tunes 10 years ago was due to never getting what I wanted with remote tuning/handhelds, or even in person dyno tunes for that matter. Swaps and vehicle modification require a great deal of knowledge and tuning, and to get back to stock like driveability, you will pretty much need a lot of seat time and a tuner in your passenger seat.

You will no be disappointed with HP's product. I haven't been whatsoever. Eric and the crew stay on top of things to say the least. It's a bit of a learning curve if you aren't familiar with tuning, but with some patience and time, you will be very pleased with the end result.

Also what tune adjustment are made to the drive by wire or throttle to get that 1:1 gas pedal to throttle body ratio that's another complaint. I can say I have ben reading the transmission forum for a while and I can say its been really helpful. thanks to everyone
