Thread: LSA Conversion

  1. #1

    LSA Conversion

    I'm upgrading my 1968 C-10 from a 6.0 w/ 4L60e with LS3 top end to a LSA headed and supercharger with a TR6060 transmission.

The system will running the following.

    3 Bar Map
    ID1000 injectors
    231/248 .617/.595 120+5
    Long tube headers
    TR6060 transmission swap
    9.5:1 compression
    ZL1 intercooler setup

I am really new to tuning and planning to have a professional tune my truck on a dyno. But I really need some help with building a tune so I can at least start the truck. I really appreciate any help that would be given. Also the supercharger is running stock pullies.

    Thank you,

    Brandon

set engine type to 6.0, set cyl vol to .746, add 100 rpm to all idle rpm tables , set zr1 map sensor data from tune repository corvette file (2009), get id1000 injector data from id site. add 20% to min air table. take 40% out of 400 rpm ve cells, take 30% out of 800 rpm cells and 20% out of 1200 rpm. add about 15% to the startup airflow tables..

This is the tune that I've come up with so far. I'm not sure that I've scaled my injectors correctly, but I believe that I have. Also I tried to convert my OS from a one bar to a 3 bar, but it won't let me. Can anyone tell me why or what I need to do to make it work correctly? Also I know that I'm new, but can someone point out what I haven't done or need to modify so my truck will idle? So I can get it to a real tuner? Or can I pay someone on here to build me a good start up tune tonight? Or tomorrow morning?

    Thanks,

    Brandon

    Smoky68 Initial Startup file erm030815.xlsx

Above is an excel file with parmaeters to set your base tune, a bit more than a starter file but see how it goes...copy and paste into you tune.

Thank you for the tune mowton. I got it to start and idle, but it seems that my map is maxing out. And for some reason when I give it any throttle it dies. I attached the data log, take a look and let me know what you think.

    Brandon,

Looks like you copied the MAF values incorrectly. Go back to my file and redo.....

Also set the Boost enrichment to 1.25 as well, I missed that the first time.

Lastly the Map sensor offset s/b -11.25

    Brandon,

made several updates to original post above, make sure you get them as well....

Note -- with the Key on and the Engine Off (KOEO) the MAP should equal the atmosphere value relative to your elevation. Sea level would be about 101 kPa and value would drop about 3.5 kPa per 1000 feet of elevation.

Thank you again Ed. I will be working on this today hopefully

Mowton when you say set the boost enrichment to 1.25, are you referring to the boost enrichment vs. MAP table?

I know it's been a little bit...this is what I've got and I'm about to go load it up on the truck and see how she fires.

Good afternoon ya'll...I made some adjustments to my tune, but she doesn't stay running...she will fire but doesn't stay running. Please take a look at my tune and let me know what I need to adjust...or if I have messed up horribly and I should put my laptop down and tow her to a pro.

Sorry forgot to attach the tune
