i bought a 2005 pontiac grand prix gxp with a 2007 motor not running no crank thought it was a vats issue bought hp tuners read emc it says it a 2007 sature vue v6 so the computer is not the one that came with the motor can i still use this ecm if i get it flashed using tech 2 or do need a gxp ecm. Any advice would be awesome.
Perhaps emailing support with all the info you have and they might better assist you.
Include the car make/model, the read from the vehicle, the VIN number and maybe even the numbers off the PCM itself.

Wasn't the 2005 GXP a 24x LS4 controlled by an E40, and the 2007 GXP a 58x LS4 controlled by an E67 ?

What ECM is currenty installed in the vehicle?You wont crank because of the diffrences in cranks, sou youll need that linglefelter 58x to 24xconversion kit for the crank sensor in order to run the motor, unless of course you swap cranks.
