    Fix Duramax Communication issues.

Please revisit all duramax diesels 2001 to 2005. Something has got messed up along the way, transmission communication is now impossible. 2005 are very hit and miss for any communication. These vehicles used to work well or at least a whole lot better. Also, scanner communication on all model years could use work, does not work reliably.

There was a time with 2.23 where 2005 lly worked flawlessly, I did a bunch of them without issue.

I currently cant read 2001-2004 TCM's, have to disconnect tcm to read pcm. Ill admit I dont have latest, but only few weeks old, 2.24.65 does not work, nor does my old 2.23.

Scanner has never worked right on 2005+ duramax. Does work well with 2001-2004.

Unfortunately I dont have better records to nail down time or versions, but this is when I noticed a differance in 2005 lly and its never been the same since. I dont know what change occured or what version I had that it last worked on.

Update to 2.24.711 or newer. You are some 700 builds behind most.

I was unable to read 2002 tcm with above mentioned version, timed out about half way through tcm read.

try reading in low speed mode. This really doesn't sound like anything new to be honest and just the nature of these vehicles unfortunately.

Can you please look into this again? Currently all 2006+ duramax can only scan 4 pids. If you add a 5th pid the 1st pid quits working. I dont have a count of how many worked previously, but it was enough I could build some usefull configs and histograms.

Also, I have tried every trick I can think of. Any version of 2.24 I try cannot read the tcm for allison a1000(01-05) including trucks I have previously read and written to without issue.

Try going into My Documents, HPTuners, VCM Scanner, Vehicles, and then delete every file...then re-connect to the truck...works when I have problems with gas vehicles...but I doubt it'll help much with these.

I've completely given up on using this software for Duramax trucks. It's not the nature of these vehicles...they work absolutely fine with other software.

At Bills suggestion I tried deleting al the .os files. There was no change. I have tried with 2 other hpt cables a laptops, they would only scan 4 also. Bill asked for a info log, I'll send it in as soon as I get one and maybe they can come up with something.

Fixed an xp machine with 2.23.328 and hooked it up to lbz duramax. I scanned 12 pids no problem and could add more. Its a problem with the newer scanner. Have you looked into this yet? I forwarded the info log you asked for months ago. I am going to try it and see if it will talk to the tcm as still cant with 2.24 or 2.25. Its easier to use the other software right now, you guys really need to fix this. I bought credits for these trucks and cant go back in and use them.
