    Variable Cam Timing

I need a little info on cam timing in the coyotes....

anyone care to share? what are you guys doing with it? only adjusting optimum power numbers? etc.....

negative values are BTDC and positive values are ATDC? is this only for the intake? is it opposite or the same for the exhaust cam?

    thanks

Couple of things. Cam timing is always referenced in CRANK DEGREES, so keep that in mind. Also, the values represent when the intake valve opens, and the exhaust valve closes.

On the coyote, there are two tables that are inverse of each other that prevents clearance issues. No Fly Zone so to speak.

    So if the tune shows:

    IVO: -30
    EVC: 0
This is -30 degrees of overlap

    IVO: -15
    ECV: 30
This is 15 degrees of overlap

    Correct or incorrect?

    Thank you.
