2012 Boss 302 tuning issues Need Help!!

Just put some headers on this Boss 302 and trying to shut off the rear O2's using the latest Beta. I've attached the files for the silver key and the red key. If I make any changes to either tune and reflash it limits the throttle to 28%. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Also noticing that there seems to be a few things missing from this tune compared to other mustang files I've looked at such as the MAF transfer function. And, if I try to use the compare function with either of these files it tells me that HP Tuners has encountered a problem and shuts down.

    silver key stock.hpt
    red key Stock.hpt

    Thanks

Anyone? I'm starting to think that this car simply isn't supported properly. Hate to have to buy a canned SCT tune from someone.

Be patient, it's the weekend. Email your files to support with an infolog a description of the trouble. Eric will get you straightened out.
Also make sure you're on the latest beta.

I can't open either one of those files with the latest 2.25 build. As Eric mentioned, looks to be unsupported. This is probably something they will need to add to the database.

It's got to be because of the 2 different tunes offered by the track keys.. damn sure sucks that we can't tune these yet.

I haven't given it much though in quite some time, but I seem to recall some discussion/theories when the track key first came out that the calibration difference was actually tied to or stored in the dash cluster. Similar to the days of the old switch chips for the Ford, when the ignition sensed the track key emitter, the dash cluster engaged the track key calibration and sent this to the PCM over the CAN network. Since the track key calibration isn't stored directly in the PCM registers, typical flashing solutions aren't able to access/overwrite it. This is why it isn't directly accessible via a direct read. I'm not sure if others have figured it out to this day. Last track key car that I did with the other software still ended up deactivating the track key function. Anyone know if this is right or wrong?

Use the stock boss calibration (not the Track key) and it will work, and is supported.

The track key, like the later FRPP calibrations do not work (throttle opening is limited) when modified, and I have not put in the time and effort to determine why.

The track key has all of the normal tables like the OEM tune, but some (not all) parameters have duplicates. The second key makes the car use the alternate tables.

    Eric,

Any truth to the thought that the track key initializes those other tables by way of the dash cluster or CAN network? I'm trying to comprehend how the key itself initializes a different set of address registers.

Thats because you have the track key calibration flashed in. Have a dealer flash the stock OEM boss calibration in, and then you can tune it with VCM Suite.

Yes, it's supported and keeps both silver/red keys active and working.
