    wideband recomendations please

so what wide band is everone happy with. new to tuning a guy sold me an LC1 (I know its crap) and its been ok until tuning turbo ls1, and when I go wide open im super rich reading 10:1 momentarily then goes max 21:1. that doesn't reflect on narrow band ,it looks like a turned up diesel,ve values at 500%, and im fouling plugs. so im very sure its not reading correctly, I called ECM.... HOLY CRAP I cant spend $3000 on a wideband. I spoke with Dynocom at the pri show in indy, they spoke very highly of their new wideband. any recommendations appreciated.thanks

For around $300 you can't beat the http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/ind...i7ne0e7gjnbtu4

For more bling and dual controls I would check out Daytona Wideband and for anything more than that the AFM1000 from ECM

The NGK AFX/ECM AFM-1600L/Ballenger deal is the best option with budget in mind.

The AFX is very convenient for moving from car-to-car IMHO.

AEM X-Wifi .. use your Iphone or Android to read AFR and EGT
    Best option for around $300
And you can connect it to HP Tuners for real time logging data.

Thanks for the reply, but I am looking for something that maybe just goes in the exhaust tip. Really so I can just moniter the AFR. That being said I am new to this tuning thing, so if there is a better way to do this please tell me. Thanks for the help.

"if there is a better way to do this please tell me" Sorry, these aren't like the old 3 gas exhaust analyzers we used to see in the shops of the 80's & 90's, with the sensor that clips on the exhaust tip. The sensors have a "hot" side saturated in the exhaust stream and a "cold" side exposed to free air, and those sides should stay isolated from each other. For an accurate reading everyone places them in or near the manifold/header section, (where the factory bungs already conveniently exist) and the only way I could justify spending good money on a wide band o2 setup would mean I've got to get the most accurate results every time. If it's a race car or your personal vehicle that you will be constantly having access to and tweaking for a long term period of time, some people have in this case found it worth a small investment of time and funds to utilize a bung dedicated for a permanently installed WB sensor which would require purchase of second portable WB sensor for tuning other (customer) cars, but allow quick connections/disconnections to your "pet project vehicle" where your wideband setup would probably be most useful and spend the majority of it's time anyway.
