    05 c6 capable of DOD?

I know this is sacrilegious, it is there I know it wasn't offered from the factory. If enabled will it work? How much tinkering involved if so?

I'm sure it will not by just changing it in HP Tuners as that engine doesn't have DOD lifters

GM never put DoD on C6 because of a vibration issue that occurred just as the system when from 8 to 4. The problem could not be solved with out adding weight to the car so GM decided not to make DoD available.

When the car's structure was redesigned for C7, the necessary changes were made to eliminate the vibration.

Directly from GM engineering department, I'd guess.

He's a journalist. Here's some of his articles:

I'll read through those this evening. I didn't realize it was public info.
