    4l60e current gear?

Is there a way to tell the current gear the pcm thinks the 4l60e is in with the scanner? I've tried, but haven't been able to find that option. Thanks

Add the Transmission/General/Trans Current Gear PID.

Thanks for the reply. Unless I'm missing something, I don't seem to have that option.

I mostly just need to know if the pcm knows whether it's in gear or p/n. I'm currently using a compushift on the trans, but thinking about swapping back to the pcm. I do not have a p/n switch, but was planning to add one. I tried grounding the p/n wire from the pcm but did not get a change in idle speed like I expected from the programming.

Make sure you don't have a scan loaded. Here is what it should look like.

Current gear is showing 2. I tried grounding pin 34 on the blue connector, but did not get a change. I then realized I had PRNDL in the programming set to none, so I changed it to PN only, but I still did not gear a change in current gear when grounding pin 34. At this point, I'm inclined to just leave it as is and up the idle a bit since it's only idling around 550 in P/N.
