Sorry, just got off the phone with another tuner and he told me that there doesnt exist a 4l80e segment with this os. Now i have to write another os or use another pcm. Thanks.

OS 12593058 is an update for the more common 2003 OS 12579405. A 4L80 segment does exist for this OS. I don't have one on file currently ... will try and find one.

You cannot segment swap between 2 different OS - if that is what you are asking.

What I am saying is that the OS you have (12593058) is the latest (newest) OS version for many 2003 model year trucks. Any 2003 truck with a 4L80 that was updated, will now be using the newer OS.

I will try and find one for you - but it may take a few days.

I can open it with 2.24 but not with 2.25. I need 2.25 to do a segment swap. If i select the file and open it, vcm editor opens but there is no file open in it.

Okay thank you very much! Care to explain how you change the format? Might be helpful in the future.

I opened the bin with 2.24 and saved. I have unlimited gen 3 trucks, but if you had 2003 year/model you could have done the same.

Can you explain how to do a segment swap with the same os's? I have one that is licensed, and one that is not. The one that is not, has a 80e setup, and the one that is has a 60e. I am going to switch to a 80e. Do I need to even do a segment swap for that, or just change the gear settings in the trans? Thanks
