    VSS INPUT....Do I need it ??

I have a 2003 5.3 with a 700R4 in my '55 Chevy...Trans has manual speedo output. I thought that all is well as performance and mileage are great...Then I was told that the VSS input controls something that will make it run better. Is this correct?? Does the VSS affect Air, Fuel or Spark??

I have the VSS disabled on Jen's race car ... there are no ill effects from not having the speedo hooked up. If anything it will be your Bad VSS RPM limiter. Everything else can be controlled by RPM and/or TPS%.

Any chance you'd be willing to share the tune you're using on this? Did you segment swap?

(yes, I realize this was a decade ago)
