Messing with tb scalar. Is it really hazardous?

I need to limit dbw t/b max opening angle in LS3. There are warnings in HPtuners that incorrect calibration of pcm vs. TAC module may corrupt the PCM. How likely do I run in to this?

why would you want to do that? and i have done it several times but have never gone over 5% in value changes. e38's are hard to brick so go for it

I need to make about 2/3 of LS3's power when in dyno. This is because of ridiculous trafic/vehicle laws in our country.

I made 3 different tunes that I'm about to try one at a time:
    -tb opens only to 60%
-Torque management is set at 400 Nm
    -Timing is delayed 15 degrees

Use torque management. It actually works really well.

Thanks DSteck! Today I was on a wheel dyno with a 430Nm torque max (I made a proportioning map from 250 Nm to 430 Nm through the rpm range). The dyno is showing 431 Nm so it actually works amazingly well!

I've forgotten to turn it off before on some DBW cars on the dyno, and been amazed with how perfectly flatlined the output becomes during torque management.
