    L92 dont starts

    Hi guys.

I am working on a L92 with manual transmission that I switched the VVT camshaft for a more agressive one.
To do it, I change the cam gear for a non vvti cam with his shorter cam cover. Keep same sensor.
Also tune the ecu with a Nelson Perf´s tune.
Engine does not start and does not give any DTC. (before switch the front cover and right gear, it shows cam's sensor DTC) But if I unplug the cam sensor it neither shows a DTC.

    Any idea???

This are the files and screen shots.

I am not sure exactly what's all goes on...but it deals with your key and computer part of VATS vehicle anti theft system...just follow the Nelson link I gave you and it should start

You need to change to the white cam sensor if you deleted the VVT. Did you delete the VATS and starter diag checks?

The engine comes with the light brown sensor (12591720) and tbe vats is off.

If I chech that part number shows me that came on LS engines.

So, the vvt sensor that remain there looks the same as ls3 non vvt camshaft

Did you delete VVT from the tune? Is your engine harness wired correctly for Non-VVT?

Nelson Performance tune the ecu for their own cam kit. But what you say about the harness for non vvt? The only that I did was left the vvt actuator switch un connected. Is there any special mod in the harness when delete the vvt?

Is there any modification on the wiring harness to use without the VVT?
