Motor swap form G8 no start

We've got a 38 Ford Coupe that we swapped a motor and tranny out of a pontiac G8 into. we got the motor, tranny, and factory computer all out of the same car. we are not using a bcm at all. Our tuner is using hptuners but is having trouble finding the VATS to turn them off. The motor turns over and the fuel pump primes, but no fire and nothing at the injectors. but there is fuel in the fuel rails. Any help is much appreciated.

Guessing your tuner has limited experience, or has only worked with older controllers. With the newer controllers (your 2008 G8 uses an E38 ECM) HPT has 2 patches that need to be applied to disable the VATS.

With your G8 tune open in HPT, click on the "HP OS" button at the top of the screen - the 2 VATS patches will become evident - a Write Entire is required to enable these patches.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but have similar problem with E78 (2012 Chevy Cruze 1.4 turbo in stand alone mode. Read PCM, loaded tune file with VCM Editor, open file, click on HP OS, displays "VCM enhancements", no VATS on screen. Did the same thing with Cruze sample file and it shows VATS. ??????????
    TIA

Never mind. Went back and and clicked on "Edit", "View", "Standard" and now I have VATS displayed. :-(
