    2.25 Scanner

I get asked in nearly every thread when the new 2.25 scanner will be done, so I have decided to create a thread dedicated to that topic to keep the forum clean.

The new 2.25 Scanner will support DMR logging, so we will have high frame rates, and many many more parameters available to be datalogged.

Just like the 2.25 VCM Editor, the 2.25 VCM Scanner is a complete re-write, so 100% new code. Keith is hard at work on this project.

I have no ETA at this time, but it is a very high priority project.

As I have more info to share, I will share it in this thread.

Yes! Thank you Eric! Is there an ETA today? Just kidding! I can't wait. I sold my SCT tuner for my car and plan on going back to full HPTuners. I hope the scanner is done by the time I'm ready to fire my new combo.

    Subscribed.

How do you volunteer to be a tester? I would love to test the speed density areas on the Ausy Falcons and compare it against SCT.

Great to hear that the scanner is high priority. Loving the 2.25 Editor so far and can't wait to have the scanner to use alongside that.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Is that mainly a Ford thing, or will it work on other vehicles as well?

Every manufacturer has some proprietary datalogging like this, but the term DMR is specific to Ford. We already support GMs parameters like this.

With 2.25, is or will there be a PID to show where the ECM is at in terms of the HDFX interpolations? Or, could a custom user PID be written to output that value?

    Yes,

There are weighting factor DMRs for each point, so you can log each mapped point, and get the percentage it is using from each.

Yes, I am testing it now on my own car, and am in the progress of adding all of the various Ford enhanced PIDs and DMRs.

Eric showed me some previews of 2.25 Scanner at PRI 2014.

I have to say, it is 100% absolutely worth the wait.

I know the guys at HP Tuners are putting a lot of effort into this to make it 100%.

    Can't wait.
