need a stock 2000 6.0 truck DBW file

Was wondering if anyone had a tune from a drive by wire 6.0 truck? i need one for a 4L60E segment swap. The computer i was given for this vehicle is from a 2001 8.1/allison truck. There's one in the repository, but it appears to be a cable driven TB.

    Thanks.

What 2000 6L truck is DBW? Every one that I've seen was DBC.

Can't say I've personally seen one either, but I thought some 2000-2002 trucks were dbw? I know 2003+ were all dbw, but I could swear some earlier trucks were too.

I'm just doing a benchtop tune for a guy doing a ls swap for a customer of his. He supplied me with the computer his customer gave him. All he said was it was a drive by wire 6.0 from a 2000 or 2001 truck, he didn't know for sure. In any case, he's putting a 6.0, lq4 I assume, in a Chevelle with a 4L60 and a drive by wire throttle body.

I mainly wanted a 2000 file because I have a year/model license for those, lol. If I need to use a newer file, it's no problem, just trying to do the cheapest route for the guy if possible.

2001-2002 with traction control option and some suv. Sounds like you should just get a suv file and use that, 6.0 with 4l60 and dbw. Find a 12212156 o/s and you can enable dbw even if its not.

You can segment swap the trans segment whether or not it's DBW, as long as it's the same OS...but I don't know why you need to...just pick any MY2000 4L60E/V8 vehicle to work with...the change in displacement is easy to fix in the tune.

You can also go to System - General - System (opens a table), and put a 1 in the ETC column for the vehicle platform. Right above the System button that opens that table, you'll see "Platform Type"...in a truck it'll probably be GMT800. Use that to know which row to put the 1 in for ETC.

So if I had, for example, a dbw 5.3/4l60 file. ...all I would need to change is the displacement under engine>general to 6.0 and cylinder volume to 0.74590 L...?no maf, VE, or injector changes?

No, different pcm. You need something 01-02 with 0411.

Wait maybe I misunderstood. You mean I need an older file to work with my 0411? Or were you saying I need a 0411 to work with the H3 file?

2003 file will be from a p59 1mb pcm. You have an 0411 p01 512kb. The files are not compatible. You need to stick within 99-02, preferably 01-02

So if i take a 01 or 02 6.0L file and do a segment swap for the 4L60, what do i then do about the DBW throttle body? If i go into System>General>System and put "1" under the ETC column in the GMT800 row, will there be any other changes needed, or will that allow the use of a drive by wire throttle body? The truck is getting a custom PSI harness, so it will be wired for one if a 0411 can support it. i've been searching around and can't find concrete answers on this topic. I also do not know what TAC module is going to be used.

    Holy confusing thread Batman!!

    Let's start over.

What are you doing? What's the motor going in? Why does it have to be a truck file? If it's a swap, why can't you use a Vette file? DBW and auto all in one. Swap some of the tables to that of a 6.0 of similar year. BAM! Done!

agreed, it got confusing. allow me to start over and hopefully simplify.

I do benchtop tunes for a local guy who does a lot of LS swaps in hot rods. He gave me a 0411 pcm that his customer gave him, saying it came with his engine. He has a 6.0L truck motor. It has a truck intake with a drive by wire throttle body. The computer ACTUALLY came out of a 2001 8.1/Allison truck. He's putting this drive by wire 6.0 in front of a 4L60E in a Chevelle.

I was hoping there was a 2000 model year 6.0 with a drive by wire setup so i could save him some money since i have a year/model license for 2000 trucks. That doesn't seem possible at this point, no big deal at all though.

I'm just wondering how to make the drive by wire throttle body work in a 6.0L tune in a 0411 pcm. Maybe this is a lot simpler than it seems, but i'm thoroughly confused at this point. i'm not an expert on which OS's did what quite yet, but i'm learning. I have doubts and suspicions, that's why i started this thread.

Thanks for your patience and help.

Get a 2002 12212156 or 12221625 yukon/escalade/suburban/Tahoe 6.0 4l60 file and run it. If it's not a dbw already put a 1 in dbw column on path you showed above. Done deal. No segment swap.
