    ETC Throttle Map Question

I am working on a 2009 Silverado 5.3 6 speed. The problem is the throttle map for sport tow that is used in tow haul mode at I think 54% throttle goes to 100%. The result is in tow haul mode towing a travel trailer it kicks down on the slightest incline. I think a wind gust would cause it to kick down. Why GM would do this is beyond me, it makes tow haul mode useless. If taken out of tow haul mode it tows pretty nice. I prefers the tow haul mode shift points when towing and would like to use them, but these tables have a warning about modifying them because of compatibility with the TAC module. So I am wondering if it would be OK to copy the standard throttle map table to the sport tow? That table is already compatible with the TAC module.

The GEN4 ECUs are much more forgiving when it comes to modifying the ETC tables. If it doesn't like it it'll kick a code. I've never baked a GEN4 ECU modifying the ETC tables. If it doesn't like it, put it back and do over.

I would think it would be fine copying the normal ETC table to the tow/haul table.
