    08 E38 with 2010 T43 TCM

    Hey guys, have a swap with a 2008 E38 out of a truck and a 2010 TCM out of a 2500 with the 6l90.

Using vette pedals and paddle shifters. Can a 2008 Vette file be written entire onto the PCM with no issue? What about for the TCM to enable the paddle shifters?

You need to figure out if the OS's are compatible. Is the motor out of a 08 truck also? You will need a corvette TCM OS to enable the paddle shifters. This will have to be done at dealership or you can pull the TCM out and send it to John a Speartech. He is the guy I would call to discuss what you are trying to do.

Thanks for the reply. The main question i'm trying to figure out is if i can write an 08 Corvette TCM OS onto a 2010 t43 without issue, since then I can just write entire the Corvette set up.
I don't believe that a 2010 E38 ECM OS (vette) can be written onto an 08 E38 PCM, which would preclude me from writing a full '10 vette OS set up onto the TCM since it can't be flashed separately with HPT.

I do know that the Vette TCM OS uses a hardwire set up for tapshift vs. the can/bus for other OS's.

Was hoping someone who knew for sure could chime in.

    Ok, so update.

Was informed that it's actually an 07 TCM with an 08 E38 ECM. So as far as i've seen/heard. 07-08 are interchangeable, and can safely write an 08 vette entire to this?

    Correct?

You'll want to write the ECM with a Tech-2 or MDI so that the TAC module is properly set up.

TCM should work with the 08 ECM.

Thanks for the response Dave. I take it the HPT write entire won't calibrate the TAC properly?

Is it possible to run this without a TAC module?

I'm being told the setup is the following:
Pedal is from a vette, TB is from an 08 truck, 58x, no TAC module

    truck harness i believe.
