You need to adjust your zones in the areas that are distorted and re-smooth and recalculate the coefficients.

    Yep.

It will always change the numbers some.. It's basically "best fitting" equations to fit the data you've put in. It won't fit perfectly though.

The key is minimizing the distortions.

I don't understand how a zone adjustment will help? I want the GMVE table to calculate what I pasted in (should be simple, has worked fine since this newest beta)

My GMVE values go from 2200-2500 I. The zones I'm working at to -1800 to -500

    That's a HUGE distortion

Ben how are you data logging gm ve for the c7's? I know they're all map/baro instead of just map axis. Only reason I ask is because new scanner doesn't seem to work with the map/baro and not sure how to set up 2.24 to do it.

Ben Charles, this is exactly the issue I was having a while back. It corrected itself after a new version came out, it sounds like it broke again. It's like the auto-smoothing it does when you apply changes is messed up.

If you have a 2014 you can still use 2.24 and it has Pressure Ratio pid available. Log Baro, MAP, and Pressure Ratio.

No screen shot unfortunately, Higgs is right the "code" must be broken on yesterday's beta (updates daily) so I just stopped SD tuning and went back to Mass air.

I'm using the 2.24 scanner, don't really care for the 2.25 scanner.
I setup pressure ratio as [SENS.30]/[PID.51]
I think that's the equation for map divided by Baro

Also figured out a trick way to dial in the Driver demand tables
I was seeing throttle percents not matching and now they are right on top of each other

There is a Pressure Ratio pid, you dont have to calculate it.

Yes, what little I've used the 2.25 scanner hasn't been very pleasant. I was glad to see the ford pids added and working correctly. Other than that, not really a fan.

Don't guess there's any chance of sharing your driver demand logging setup? All though I imagine you could do the same thing that you have to do for Fords and then add a touch and be spot on?

I just hope the vve isn't making the "city blocks" like it was a few weeks ago. Pulled my hair out for half a day trying to figure out what I did wrong in my base tune that was causing a false 2800 rpm rev limiter... That particular car got the stock vve left alone unfortunately...

I've found that if the distortion falls on a zone boundary, if you move the boundary between the two (or more) offending zones that the distortion is notably less. You didn't see this with BlueCat because it automatically adjusted the zones to best fit the VVE table. One of the features I've requested be migrated to 2.25

    AH yes, sorry. My bad.

Though in all seriousness.. is there a way to change where the different zones are? I haven't messed with that but figured there had to be

I make open and close the same values.. I don't even touch the DOD VE tables due to usually just disabling DOD

Manifold Open..... unless doing DoD then Manifold Open (DoD) (separate set of coefficients)
