Does anyone know how or what software/hardware to access the programming inside the instrument cluster or the bcm i know that 02 and below has to have a EPROM programmer to access the cluster and 03 and up can access through the obd2 port.

I know some or all of the GM cars, the DIC runs over the CAN bus... and you can get the DIC message from the ECU or BCU, interpret/change it, then send it back to the DIC. There are things sold that add engine info to the DIC.
