    Figuring out Driver Demand torque

Trying to get my head around the driver demand torque adjustments..

Looking to install a bigger throttle body and don't want to get the Wrench light showing..

Any ideas for a trial and error? I know the SCT guys have a base map they can just flash onto the ECU.

Driver demand is not what you would adjust to prevent the wrench light. The torque and torque inverse tables need to be accurate for the power the car is making, and the Effective Throttle Area, and Predicted Throttle Angle tables are what model the actual TB .

Eric's spot on, as usual. I'll add that the torque & inverse torque tables must be correct, with respect to each other as well. Just as the names imply, these tables are inverses of each other. All to many times, I come across hacked torque tables where the tooner has just increased the top row or two of the torque table but then left the inverse torque table untouched. They are inversely related.....touch one, you must touch the other.

At some point in time, VCM Suite will handle the inverse tables automagically. It's on the list.

This is SO true, I haven't looked at the latest software for this, but if the inverse was automatically done when you change the actual TQ table this would be beyond awesome, I hate having to copy everything over to CMR in order to calculate them correctly (same with Effective TA and OL FF TA)...

Can the TQ table parameters be logged yet or will that be out with the newest version of the scanner? Or is there a way to figure them out at least?

Not a problem Eric I know you guys have been working on it. Is there any tips on at least trying to “guess” to make it better. I’ve just put on a Vortech blower, so now everything is super exaggerated. So If I can at least get rid of some of the surging that happens I would be a lot happier. I can hold the accel pedal at say 28% and the throttle will go to 28%, then move to 20% then move to 25% then move to 23% then move etc etc and it just keep bouncing all over the place. So I know somewhere it’s hunting for where it needs to be. Any ideas?

AFR’s are where they should be and don’t really hunt etc.
