Thread: any one want to email tune my truck?

any one want to email tune my truck?

Dont knkw if this is "forum legal" but hefe we go.
Is there a seasoned vet around that will work with me on an email tune? Or even a solid base tune I can start from?
Email tune as in, send a base, I log and send back, adjust tune, wash rinse repeat.
    It's a 99 ls1, asa 226/236 110 .525/.525, truck intake/injectors, maf tune, 4l80e 3200 stall 3.42 rear, 275/45r20
So it's a "simple" cam n stall motor and I'm having hell getting it right.
Don't mind paying for the service either.
Or even a good base tune, I tried messing with the only asa cam ls1 in the repository but had no luck.

I know this site is for learning, but I'm getting anxious as I've been messing with this thing for a couple weeks now with no head way. It could be something mechanical but as of right now, I'm blaming my noob tuning skills
Just pm if your up to the challenge thanks.

Post your tune. Maybe some of us can give you some free advice.

That looks like a LOT of idle air to me...and you're commanding a TON of PE fuel. Change PE to something more like 1.176 across the board.

Your idle timing is probably all over the map because you've got drastically different numbers in 800 and 1200 RPM and you're asking it to idle at 900.

I started with a stock ls1 idle air and did the tuning process that's in all the write ups.
0 out the adaptive idle turn off ltft and reset the ltft using bidirectional controls. Mabe a vacuum leak?

A vacuum leak will usually result in less idle air...not more.

I don't like that tutorial. I've had more luck just looking at LTIT and STIT in the scanner (in gear and in park/neutral) and making changes to the base idle airflow table accordingly.

Do you see what I mean about how your idle advance is probably going all over the map? A minor change in RPM is going to cause the idle spark table to change the timing a lot...and with a non-stock cam, it's not going to hold between 890-910 like it will with a stock cam...+/-25ish RPM is not out of the ordinary with stable air, fuel and timing.

im going to smooth out the timing, then restart with stock idle air, and retry then post the log

I'd multiply that stock idle air by ~1.15-1.2.

I guess I should have asked...which idle tutorial did you use? One of them works...one of them doesn't LOL...and I'm sure there are several others.

here is a log and current tune. smoothed the timing, added some to the idle air to hold idle.
