Wot Shifting on 6r80
Hey guys. Just purchased the suite to tune a 2014 mustang GT. I have been reading everything I can find on the internet to learn. Im starting out with minor tweaks.
I am curious if I change the rpm for WOT shifting if the tcm only relies on the rpm to shift at WOT?
Thanks

make sure your rev limits are also adjusted, but under trans you can set WOT shift points and it will go to that commanded shift point

on my 14 f150 when I went to 4.10 gears I had to change shift speeds as well or it would hit rev limiter(had shift RPM set at 6500 and it would still hit my rev limiter setting of 7200 before it shifted until I lowered shift speeds as well) ...

When gears and/or tire sizes have been changed, you'll get the best shift accuracy if you correct the base N/V and shift/lock schedules. You'll need to correct the shift/lock schedules for all transmission modes. It takes time, but greatly improves the shift accuracy, particularly when using the anticipation logic. I see a lot of toons where just the WOT RPM values have been changed, leaving the shift/lock schedules unchanged. This can really kill the part throttle driveability.
