Thread: 2011-2014 Mustang GT Readiness Monitors

    2011-2014 Mustang GT Readiness Monitors

I seem to get myself into this predicament with every car I've ever owned lol.

Has anyone experienced their readiness monitors on the coyote platform not going ready even after several Ford drive cycles?

All of mine are ready besides the Catalyst and O2 Heater.

I've not disabled the computer to run the tests, only changed the DTC's for catalyst codes to "Error Not Reported".

    Am I missing something?

I have intake, boss intake manifold, Long Tubes, Catless mids and x-pipe.

    Tune attached.

Your P0420/P0430 codes are set to 4?, set them to no error reported, same for any O2 sensor 2's. And you need to also disable the Cat tests.

I do have them set to no error reported. I don't know why it says 4 now.... This could probably be my issue? Maybe ERIC can chime in on why it says 4 even though I upload it to my car as no error reported???

I also heard that if I disabled the cat test that the monitors will never ready.

    OK....

I just tried to do my tune all over again using my stock file... again... and whenever I change the p0420/p0430 codes to no error reported, it reverts to the number 4....

    WTF is going on here???

Still the same thing after 10 drive cycles. Even with the updated DCT's that won't revert back to 4/6 on these and left to say "No Error Reported"....

Not sure what else is going on. Past my inspection date so I'm not driving the car much if at all right now.

So far I've been told that the 13-14 Coyote's cannot change anything to trick the computer to ready the monitors.

The ONLY way around this is to use spark plug defoulers like the old trick from back in the day....

I'm working on this right now with my 13. I'm just not sure if I should have my DTC's set to "No Error Reported" or to the stock settings....????

It will throw the 420/430 DTC with defoulers so they need to be set to "no error reported"

The correct way :-) is to have good quality catalytic converters on the car.

I agree and there's no huge power gains by removing them anymore.

Got the 2011 to pass today with longtubes and high flow cats.
    No Nonfoulers.
    Thanks Eric.

Speaking of o2 related tuning I noticed o2 temp loss and the associated time constant are missing in HPTuners. These are usually increased 50% when adding longtubes. It would be nice to have that. Heater tip temp is there which is good.
