    05 chevy truck 5.3 PO187 code

Have a code PO187 for oxygen sensor circuit low voltage bank 2. Customer wants rear o2s shut off. Checked all the forums and searched for a result to try to diagnose. What steps does it take to turn off the rear o2,s? Tried to shut off the code in the dtcs but the fault wasn't available to shut off. man any help with this would be greatly appreciated. thanks all

P0187 is not a code for a GM vehicle with that PCM. It's a fuel code something or other for something else.

Are you sure you have the code number correct??

Shutting rear o2's off is easy. Find all related codes with a "Sensor 2" on it and set all to 3, no error reported. Save the file and flash the truck. Also you will want to keep the rear o2 sensors plugged in though, as the truck will continue to run cat tests at random while driving.

If you leave them plugged in and have the codes shut off, it will do the test ONCE on every key cycle. As soon as the truck goes into closed loop, the test will run for roughly 30-50 seconds aslong as your speed is above like 15-20 mph and then it will never do again untill you shut the truck off and restart it.

Disable CAT overtemp protection (engine, fuel, cot)
    Set all DTC's: P0036, 54, 56, 60, 137, 138, 140, 141, 157, 158, 160, 161, 174, 175, 420, 430, P2A01 and P2A04 to 3 No MIL.
Not sureif you can do write calibration or if you will need to write entire, for me the write calibration did not take but write entire worked.
