Unhappy "TCM Boot Loader Download Request timed out." error received

Hey all, this is my first post, so be gentle...

Vehicle: 2005 Chevy 2500 8.1 with the Allison Transmission, larger cam, new heads.

I converted the Operating System to 1bar, tried a write entire, and it failed on the TCM. I then retried, and got a completed result. However, I tried going back to the stock tune, to test something. I then repeatedly got a "TCM Boot Loader Download Request timed out." error every time trying to write entire the stock tune. I get the same error trying to only write changes. After this error DTC codes P0802 and P1626 are thrown. At first I though the TCM was erroring due to the DTC's, but the doesn't seem to be the case.

I've monitored the battery voltage (always has been above 12.3V), and have disconnected the fuses for the trailer brake controller and the stereo & stereo amp (even though both are stock).

Let me know what to post, and I'll send it. I'm at the point where I'm thinking of using my VCI with GM tisweb to try and force a reflash of the TCM.

Any other ideas would be appreciated!IMG_3397.jpgIMG_3394.jpgBigWhite2005GMCTruck-Seans.hpt

    .....Cool.....

So are we still at the impass that the Allison transmission is still not supported??? Even though I had no errors prior to the OS conversion? I guess any info, maybe even a "F U, you're dumb" would be great at this point. Any elaboration on the comment would also be great.

    Thanks for everyone chiming in!

It is a problem with HPT yet to be fixed. My last responce from Bill was thats just how it is. If you are using an older version of hpt try newer, if newer try and find older. Pull radio and onstar fuses. Once you have had an error like you have disconnecting the battery for awhile seems to make it work. Have no clear cut answer for you, its hit and miss.
