I'm new to tuning. and recently finished up a 5.3 to LQ4 6.0 swap into my silverado. I'm trying to learn the whole tuning process with my new
hptuners pro. I'm using my original 5.3 pcm and complete intake from the 5.3 on the new 6.0. as i look at the IFR vs KPA table in the vcm editor
i am seeing the manifold vacuum on the factory 5.3 tune as the same numbers all the way across, which I'm guessing this is because
the fuel rail from the 5.3 has an external fuel pressure regulator. when i compare a 6.0 tune the numbers are not the same, which I'm guessing
is because the 6.0 I got is from an 05 and the fuel system is return less. I'm i right in all of this?? if so , i am wanting to copy over the tables from the 6.0
stock tune over to my 5.3 pcm tune, but what do i do about the IFR tables? should i leave it? the 5,3 numbers are 25.2. is this enough for the 6.0? or
should i take the high number from the 6.0 IFR table and even it across the board? any help is greatly appreciated.
