I am trying to manipulate desired boost, currently desired boost targets 219 kpa from 3000-5800 rpm then rises steadily to a max of 247kpa at readline. I want it to desire 240 kpa ~ 20 psi from 3000-5800 rpm. My goal is to run 19.5lbs of boost.


To try achieve higher desired boost target I have:

Boost Max: 249kpa
Turbo Knock airmass: all 2's
Failure Airmass: 2.76
Overspeed limit Min: 2.7
Pressure Ratio Max: all to 3
Pressure Delta factor: all set to 2
Peak torque: +100 Nm over stock and maxed out.
Max torque: 8192 Nm (maxed)
Overboost Torque Limit: 8192 Nm (maxed)
Driver Demand (all Maps): 200+kw (raped)

Aside: Im not a big fan of maxing some of those tables, just did it to see if desired could be manipulated. I plan on a final tune with reasonable values.

I have tried all of these together, all of them separate and different combinations I thought might work. Since I know it is able to desire a higher boost than 219kpa at a higher RPM, I assume I am missing something. I can change the wastegate duty cycle to get my target boost, however the car occasionally fights it and closes the throttle.

Attached is the current tune, I get about 18psi (222 kpa) with 219kpa desired, it seems to be close enough not to close the throttle.
