2010 CTS- V 6L90e Rev Match on down shift in manual mode

With my tune I was experiencing flaring on downshift during closed throttle stopping. It was the worst on the 3-2, and 2-1 downshifts. I googled the issue and found this link.

So I tried what the original poster said and it worked! (FYI: I couldn't see the replies on that thread as I'm not a paying member there.)
So now, no flares on CT downshifts, very smooth! Sweet. However, I lost the Rev Match when manually shifting. I really liked feature.


How can I get the Rev Match on manual downshifts back with keeping smooth CT downshifts? BTW I drive in Sport mode 99% if that matters. Tune attached.

Rev matching only works when CT TM is enabled.

Well I changed Trans>Torque Management> Torque Reduction> CT Downshift to Enable(left flare TqMngt to None) and....

Rev Match is back but the flaring on the downshift is back too, about 80% of the time on CT downshifts.

I hate it and need to figure out why it does that. Anyone with ideas?

Old thread revival but it's a good title that is easily searched.

Possible solution here for future reference. Untested. Please report if anyone tries it.
