    Question Changing vin

Just installed my L33 5.3L combo from my 02 blazer into an 98 blazer. I'm trying to change the vin so I can get it emissions tested and I'm getting an error.

When I open the calibration details window, the 2002 blazer vin is shown

    1GNCS13W22K181274

When I input the 1998 blazer vin I get the following error window:

well, its attached as a doc file.

What do I do now? I need to have the ECM match the VIN of the vehicle to pass emissions.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jeff

You will not be able to change it with our software.

In another thread I thought you said we would be able to do VIN changes like that with 2.25.

I think my problem is the 98 part since its a completely different ecm.. I need to find info on how the vin/build of the 0411s works, no one can explain it.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Incorrect, I said you could LICENSE a file that has a weird vin/os pair, that doesn't mean our software can change the vin to something other than what should be valid. Two very different things.

Yup, right now I've got an 02 Silverado ecm running an 5.3 with a 02 blazer vin, worked just fine. Now I just have to figure this one out..

IIRC cant you have a gm dealer flash the vin? Or is that only on newer cars?

If the vin is changed, won't that screw up using HP Tuners, since it will now think it is a different ecm?
